Pakistan Cricket Team will play a tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh in early October.

New Zealand Cricket has just confirmed the schedule of the tri-series. The series will include New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. They will be a part of the tri-series as the series will be played between October 7th and 14th, 2022 in Christchurch.

Pakistan Cricket Team will play against Bangladesh in the opening match of the tri-series on the first day of the tri-series on the 7th of October. And just after facing them, Green Shirts will take on the hosts, New Zealand on day two of the competition.

Pakistan will have to play against New Zealand for the second time on the 11th of October as it will be the second league match and just after facing the Kiwis, Green Shirts will face Bangladesh again on the 13th of October.

The final is scheduled for the 14th of October. All matches from the opener till the final match of the tri-series will be played in Christchurch at Hagley Oval.

A warm-up tri-series for Pakistan

It’s like a warm-up before the big tournament, the T20 World Cup. T20 word cup is staged in Australia later this year. This mini-tournament tri-series could be a blessing in disguise for the Green Shirts. As they will be playing World Cup in the same month. Moreover, their opener is against their fierce rivals India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23, 2022.

The tri-series could play an important role for the Babar Azam’s side. As Babar Azam said that they will try to adapt to the conditions and this will give them an opportunity to evaluate their preparations and if needed will try to fix their flaws just before the T20 World Cup.
