PAK v WI ODI series 2022 update | Shahzada TV | 26 May 2022 | Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provided an update on the reports of the Pakistan-West Indies One Day International (ODI) series getting postponed.
“The PCB would like to clarify that there has been no official announcement from either side regarding the postponement of the Pakistan-West Indies ODI series,” PCB said in a statement.
“PCB would like to reiterate that the series is still scheduled to take place and all parties are working towards a resolution.”
According to PCB Director-Media Sami-ul-Hasan Burney, no suggestion to postpone the series is being considered.
The series will get off on June 8 in Rawalpindi, with Multan serving as the backup location for the three-match series.
Sami stated that they are awaiting formal confirmation as to where the matches would be held.
“It would be impossible to hold an event in Pakistan without the backing of the local authority,” Sami remarked.
“Matches will be held at the location where the green signal is received; time for judgments is limited,” he said.
PCB announced that the players will gather in Rawalpindi for a training camp on June 1st, while the West Indies will come on June 5th.

“It’s crucial to know where guests must come before making a reservation, and broadcasters and their equipment must also be on time. It’s also crucial to know if they’ll arrive in Rawalpindi or Multan “he added.
“We must also manage the logistics requirements, which include the hotel. We are hopeful that the government will provide us with guidance by the end of this week, and that the series will go as planned “Sami concluded.
It must be noted that the three-match ODI series is scheduled from June 8 to 12 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. The matches are part of the ICC World Cup Super League.
