Mohammad Rizwan, the star wicketkeeper-batsman of Cricket Pakistan is currently at the peak level of his career. At the start of his career, he was not a most satisfying player but with time he started improving his game, and now he is the best available option for Cricket Pakistan.
Mohammad Rizwan was born on June 01, 1992, in Peshawar, Pakistan. He is the right-handed batsman of cricket in Pakistan and by fielding position, he is serving the team as a wicketkeeper. By playing the role he is the wicketkeeper batter in the team.
Mohammad Rizwanstar’s first-Classst Class career in 2008 made his debut for the team Peshawar. Due to his best performances with the bat and gloves in the Peshawar college series he was being noted by the selectors. It was such an incredible journey for the cricketer from playing First Class at the age of 17 and starting an international career at the age of 22.
International Career
After the 2015 World Cup, there were 2 empty slots for the middle-order batsman. Those slots were available due to the retirement of 2 legendary batsmen of Cricket Pakistan, Younis Khan, and Misbah ul Haq. It made a great opportunity for Mohammad Rizwan to rise in the Green shirts.
He made his ODI debut on April 17, 2015, against Bangladesh at Shire Bangla National Stadium where he scored 67 runs of 58 balls. On the same tour, he also made his T20I debut for Cricket Pakistan against Bangladesh at the same venue. He made his Test debut on November 25, 2016, against New Zealand at Seddon Park Stadium and in this match, he was got out on a golden duck.
At the start of his international career, he could not perform well in any format but later on, he improved very much. Till now he played 22 Test matches in which he scored 1112 runs and his highest score in the format is 115 runs. Mohammad Rizwan in his ODI career till now played 44 matches in which he scored 897 runs with the highest score of 115 runs. In the T20I format till now he played 55 matches and scored 1639 runs with the highest score of 104 runs. Mohammad Rizwan has scored centuries in all 3 formats of the International Cricket.
Awards
It looks like 2021 was just the dream year for the star wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan. In that year he achieved a lot of Awards for info international Cricket.
Mohammad Rizwan has got his name in the ICC Men’s T20I team of the year 2021. With that, he also got the ICC T20I Cricketer of the year 2021 award from the International Cricket Council. He also achieved 2 awards from Pakistan Cricket Board. One is PCB’s Most Valuable Cricketer of the Year award and the other one is PCB’s T20I Cricketer of the year award for 2021.
With all these achievements and performances PCB is hopeful that Mohammad Rizwan will also shine in the coming future for Cricket Pakistan.
