Mohamed Salah is an Egyptian professional football player. His prolific goal-scoring abilities have brought him to play in such an elite football league as English Premier League where he plays for Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah was born on the 15 June, in the year 1992, in Basyoun, Egypt, north of Cairo. Ever since his childhood days, he is been idolizing stars of that time Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane and he used to imitate their moves and playing style during pickup games.
He started his football journey with the Egyptian club El Mokawloon at the age of 14 years old. But that was not mean to his lasting stay just after that in 2012 Salah’s speed and goal-scoring traits grabbed the attention of Swiss club FC Basel signed him. He got the Swiss Golden player award as the Super League’s extraordinary player.
Just after two years, his Premier League journey started, and he joined Chelsea in 2014. Although the expectations were high of Mohamed Salah at Chelsea which were not met by his performances he struggled at Chelsea starting barely in six Premier League games. Due to his poor run at Chelsea, they decided to loan him to different Italian clubs first to Fiorentina and then to As Roma.
The revival of Mohamed Salah
Expectations were not that high at AS Roma but this turned out to be Mohamed Salah’s turning point he performed really well with AS Roma and even won the player of the year award for his 19 goals and 13 assists.
Mohamed Salah made a comeback to Premier League again but this time with Liverpool. It turned out to be one of his best decision because he scored 32 goals setting a record for most goals scored in a premier league season previously held by the likes of superstars Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo. Even won the golden boot for being the top scorer. He helped Liverpool reach a UEFA Champions League Final but failed to win it. Went on to win Premier League’s player of the season.
He was not only performing for Liverpool but also for his national team Egypt where he has helped his team reach an AFCON Final though failed to win that tournament. Assisted his national team qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup for the first since 1990 They call him The Egyptian King in news on TV and his fan. In 2019 he helped Liverpool secure their 6th UCL Title.
Just a season later Mohamed Salah inspired Liverpool to a Premier League title after 30 years of league title drought. Which meant a lot for the Liverpool fans. Now in 2022 even though he failed to win the AFCON title ending up as runner ups or not being able to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. He inspired Liverpool to another UCL final and grabbed two more titles with Liverpool and a golden shoe for being the top scorer in the Premier League. He is loved by his fans they call him the Egyptian King. Salah dreams of winning more and more titles for his club and for his national side in the future.
