Lieke Martens joins PSG | Shahzada TV News Desk | The French giant football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have signed Netherland’s Lieke Martens on a three-year deal after she exits Barcelona.
As the contract of Lieke Martens with Barcelona expired, The Netherlands international striker signed for French club PSG on a free transfer.
Lieke Martens was a crucial player for Barcelona. She also won Europe’s elite cup in 2021 UEFA Champions League with the Spanish giants FC Barcelona last year. And has already had some glorious years with Barca, and has won three league titles as well.
As far as her international career is concerned, she has been a tremendous player for her nation she won the European Championship with the Netherlands in 2017 being voted as the best player of the tournament, an accolade that proves she has been a crucial player for the national team as well.
Lieke Martens leaves a message for her fans at Barcelona on Instagram
She just posted on Instagram about how her feelings are when she learnt that her time at Barca had come to an end. Martens said that she has decided to part ways with the fantastic club after five beautiful years in the city.
She also posted her thoughts on what winning a UCL with Barca meant to her as she said winning the UCL being a Barca player and that too with an accolade like FIFA World’s Best Player was a huge thing for her. Martens also stated that she was excited about her future with the new club PSG in France as she looks forward to a new adventure in Paris.
