Leo Messi inspires Argentina to another international trophy as they dominate Italy with a 3-0 win which sealed the beautiful Finalissima trophy for Argentina in Wembley Stadium.
Finalissima is a match between the South American champions and European champions which was hosted by iconic Wembley Stadium in London. Leo Messi who has had the most illustrious trophy cabinet was always criticized for not having at least a single trophy for his national side but he came big in the past year. In less than a year Leo Messi has inspired Argentina to two major titles. Ending the trophy drought of the past 28 years for Argentina with Copa America in 2021 and now Finalissima in June 2022.
Argentina proved to be an inevitable force as they dominated the European champions Italy in the Finalissima on Wednesday. Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala struck and humbled the UEFA Euro 2020 champions Italy.
Leo Messi was named man of the match for his stellar performance. As he provided two assists for his teammates on his record 161st appearance for Argentina. It seems like there is no sign Leo Messi is stopping here as he is eyeing the coming FIFA World Cup later this year in Qatar. Argentina with this win over Italy also extended their unbeaten run to 32 games.
Argentina’s players threw the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Leo Messi in the air as he inspired them to another title a year after Copa America in the previous year.
Leo Messi captivating at Wembley again
It is not the first time Leo has played a final at Wembley stadium. He played the 2011 UEFA Champions League final with Barcelona at the same stadium.
