Eoin Morgan Set to Retire Tomorrow from International Cricket

Eoin Morgan the white ball captain of the England Cricket Team is set to announce his international retirement tomorrow.

It will be publicized with an official announcement possibly as early as this Wednesday.

Eoin Morgan’s success

The 35-year-old Eoin Morgan played a pivotal role in helping England Cricket Team win their first-ever One Day International World Cup in 2019. Which has been a dream come true for all the English cricket fans that were eagerly waiting for their side to win a world cup and Eoin Morgan led the team to win their first-ever.

England Cricket Team under the Eoin Morgan reached the apex of the One Day International (ODI) and T20 International rankings.

Eoin Morgan is currently the leading run-scorer of England with 6,957 runs in ODI and leads the charts for England’s top-scorer in T20 cricket as well with 2458 runs.

Jos Buttler likely to replace Eoin Morgan as white-ball captain

Morgan took charge of the T20 side in the year of 2012 and he became incharge of the ODI team in 2014 but it seems like in the recent times he is not able to cope with the intense cricket of the modern times he had wanted to lead England at the upcoming T20 World Cup this year in October but has been struggling and remains out of form and has fitness issues to deal with.

As Morgan recently led England in the ODI series against the Netherlands this month. But his flaws were badly exposed as he got out for two times playing lose shots. Even in record-scoring matches against the Netherlands when everyone seemed to enjoy with the bat. Morgan missed the third match with a groin niggle. Two issues to deal with are more of an injury-prone these days and struggling with the bat. That simply changed his mind and is thinking of retiring to leave the charge to youngsters and the informed Jos Buttler who is under the limelight seems most favorite to replace Morgan in the team.
