Australian captain Meg Lanning has become the No.1 batter in T20I. The news came from the latest report on MRF tires. Before her, her teammate Beth Mooney enjoyed this position. She achieved this prestige after registering consecutive wins against Pakistan and Ireland.
Though the condition of the pitch was very challenging in Ireland due to unfriendly weather, Lanning managed to score 113 in two innings which helped the team country to win and to clinch the first rank.
Her road to 1st rank
She scored 74 in 49 deliveries in the effort of chasing the colossal total of 182/4. In the very same match, Mooney made just 9 runs which played a crucial role in the reorganization of the rankings.
Along with Lanning, her colleague Tahlia McGrath also, with a sensational performance, rose to rank 13th. She scored a half-century against Ireland which paved the way for her to progress.

In addition to a brilliant bowling spell, her magical batting in the final match led her to the 16th spot from 20th in the list of all-rounders.
Jess Jonassen, a spinner from the same team, also jumped to 6th position from 10th due to her charming performance in the game. Whereas, Ashleigh Gardner gained promotion from 10th spot to 7th in the rankings of all-rounders.
